For my card today I used another new Digital Image
from CDS called Vegetable Garden.
I think of summer time as a time to get my garden growing!
How I love fresh from the garden cucumbers!
I used the cucumber image and
the words from our garden on my card.
I distressed the paper with Antique linen and
tea dye Distress Inks before coloring with
colored pencils blended with mineral spirits.
After I finished coloring I again rubbed
some more distress ink over the image.
The background paper is from Bo Bunny.

What a great card to attach to some homemade pickles. I'm looking forward to my cukes soon too.
Hello Barb. This is fabulous, and your colouring is just brillaint. Love the design too, such a fab card for summer. Fresh Vegetables. Happy crafting.
With love, Sandra xxx
Awesome coloring Barb! I'm just getting into watercoloring myself, and slowly learning. You are an inspiration.
I happened to read a part of the first person's comment....I agree!! PERFECT for a tag on some homemade pickles!! YUM!!
very cute card; thanks for sharing.
Yep, I love summer for fresh vegetables too. Except I'm lucky enough to have a neighbor that shares! Oh and the farmers that bring in and sale from their truck...got fresh corn-on-cob yesterday...can't wait for dinner tonight!
Nothing better than summer veggies! Wonderful card.
ooooh! You gals at CDS are reading my mind today.... first I commented on a yummy ice cream card...now a CUKE!!!! (maybe I should eat more salad...less Ice Cream!? LOL!!)
Wow! Very Creative! Do you paint too? I use this technique with oil pastels. Love your card. I like the tea dye too.
Great card. Would be cute to use with a gift of homemade pickles.

Barb this is absolutely perfect.
Such a fun image and card!
That's awesome! Your coloring is fabulous!
yep, cucumbers definitely say summer around here too! I have several in my sink waiting to be used up. Love that you used the cucumber image on your card.
Super card, and it certainly says 'summertime'! I just picked my first banana pepper from my 'garden' today. Gardens and fresh veggies just say 'summer,' don't they? Beautiful coloring and great job, Barb!
Great job on the coloring. Cute card.

What a fun card.
Your card definitely screams summer to me! Great coloring.
What a fabulous card Barb!!! Your right, home grown veges are the best. Too bad we have too many deer around who would love a garden full of veges!
Linda

Nothing screams summer than fresh goodies from the garden. Love your card. I just picked squash and green peppers. Thanks for the fun hop.
Nice card, thanks for sharing (wish it was summer here in Australia - the vegetables are so expensive at the moment!)
Yummy is right, fresh veggies are always wonderful in summer. Great job.
